A solitary sandpiper has been on a small wooden raft on our pond in West Kennebunk for almost three hours. I took as good a picture as I could holding an iPhone up to a scope if anyone needs to see it.

The solitary sandpiper stayed on the raft until dark. It preened, slept and poked between the slats for 10 hours.
This morning, there are two!
