Temporarily defeated the squirrel with Vaseline on the pvc pipe so food is lasting longer-/ 

bluebirds are back—

And for the first time in years there is a female Baltimore oriole on the orange halves

If I recall correctly, the Centers for Wildlife or Avian Haven have taken in birds that have gotten vaseline on their feathers and advised folks not to grease poles.
