Steller's Sea Eagle Update

In case anyone here didn't see this on the GroupMe, Kaili Morgan photographed the eagle today in West Boothbay. This is the first verified report since the 2nd. I've pasted the comments from Nick Lund below. I think it'd be awesome if big updates (even for this bird with it's own GroupMe fan party running) still got through to the listserve for those who haven't moved over, or for those who have put the groupme chat on mute and don't check it constantly. 

"Yes, Kaili saw the bird from private property in West Boothbay. She says it was around 4pm. She said it was active, seen on a beach and in pine trees. She send me two additional photos. She said she watched it fly off to the northwest in the direction of Barters Island. She said the road to the point is very narrow and she’s concerned about clogging them (esp because of the nearby coast guard station). There is lots of ground to cover in the area but it is def the bird. Please watch this space and be kind and courteous in your searching. Good birding!"

Also posted were warnings about the very snowy weather tomorrow.

Thank you Matthew for posting. I too would like to see the list serve continue with rare bird posts. I have no desire to move to the groupME. I did see this update on FB as I live in Boothbay. Thanks for sharing

I agree as well; my preference is the list serve . It gets me the pertinent info in a timely and easy manner. I have no problem with the new ways of communicating; this one happens to work well for me.
