Steady to increasing South winds the past two days produced two 1000+ Northern Gannet days - all flying close by Schoodic Point.  Common eider, scoter species, and d.c. cormorants also were passing in good numbers.  Additional species of note: Common Murre, Long-tailed Duck, r.b. mergansers, great cormorant, great shearwater, and herring gull, g.b.b. gull, and r.b. gull.
Zack Klyver is on hand most mornings as the official counter. Any day that offers field time with him is a good day. Best hours are the first 3 hours after sunrise.
We hope to see you there!
