ID app for bird songs? - asking for a novice friend

Hey all - One of my co-workers is trying to figure out birds in her neighborhood by their songs, and wonders if there is a reliable app for matching up a song with an ID.

I told her I would try to crowdsource the wisdom of this listserv. Is Song Sleuth reliable? Is there a better one?

I learned my bird audibles old-style and haven't yet shopped for such an app.

I've found Merlin to be very helpful for song and callsl.
