My first bird this morning was an unusually bold Red-breasted Nuthatch.  He/She stayed right next to me as I added seed to the platform feeder, then followed me and flew down into my seed storage bin when I went to close the lid!
Happy New Year and Good Birding!

He or she didn’t want you to close the buffet!

My first birds were a cardinal and a pair of white breasted nuthatches. Last bird of 2020 was a ruffed grouse in a tree.
