No Short-eared Owl, but this evening along the Eastern Trail I had 23+ Horned Larks and almost 300 American Crows in the marsh. So at least the search wasn’t a complete fail :)

I walked the Eastern Trail during the flood tide around noon, and also had nothing particularly interesting except my first Ipswich Savannah Sparrow! I also had a few of your larks around.

Awesome. I looked for one and might have had one, though by then it was too dark to be sure. What originally caught my attention was the size difference between it and the two other Savannahs it was with.
