Yesterday morning I stopped by the Eastern Trail parking lot at Scarborough Marsh and had two flyover Red Crossbills, which landed briefly in a stand of white pines by the edge of the marsh. According to ebird, this is the first record for the marsh (not including Prouts Neck) in over 38 years!
Thought that was something worth sharing...

Ps. There seems to be a large white pine cone crop this year, so keep an eye out for crossbills in other places as well
