attaching iPhone to spotting scope & some fun birds

Hello Maine-birds hive mind! Any suggestions for attaching my iPhone XR to a spotting scope for digiscoping? Will I need to remove the phone from its case?
Some fun birds: A Northern Shoveler has been hanging out on Hamilton Pond (Bar Harbor) and I found Craig Kesselheim’s Snow Geese near the Bar Harbor Airport!

I have not used this yet, but an expert birder here in FL (Larry Manfredi) has recently recommended something called a Phone Skope in response to the same question down here.
