It’s happening again. Wave after wave of nighthawks passing over my house in Pownal. 24 so far after only 15 minutes.

Thanks to all posting nighthawk sightings. Inspired me to do a little skywatching. Spotted 9 in Berwick between 7:10 and 7:40, with none in the first 10 minutes. First one coincided with a robin + something else flock and I also ended up with 40 robins headed SW for the period.

I had six over Messalonskee Lake tonight, then 20 at my house a mile uphill from the lake in Sidney. Lovely spectacle that I look forward to every end of summer.

We also spotted about 20 heading south through Kennebunk last night between 630 and 7. We were just observing through a limited window between oaks, so there were likely many more
