Nothing close to a Razorbill, but yesterday saw the first Chipping Sparrow, which also sang briefly and was seen again this morning. The first Yellow-rumped Warbler arrived very early on Sunday the 4th, and another was seen & photographed this morning.
We've had Pine Warblers singing since the 7th, with 10-12 heard around the neighborhood this morning.
Other new arrivals this morning were Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Northern Flicker. A bright male Goldfinch showed up at the feeder; that species has been mostly absent for months, along with Purple Finches which have still not been seen this year. 2 House Finches, which are locally scarce, showed up at the feeder this week as well. So far I've only managed to see that species in spring and fall, and I've only ever heard one sing in the yard.
