At around 9:30am today, a small group of Blue Grosbeak seekers were lucky enough to get a handful of solid looks at this unique bird for Maine.
The bird is very brownish...almost chestnutty in the morning light and was spending most of it's time with a mixed group of song and savannah sparrows as well as some yellow-rumped warblers.
We detected it mostly alongside Parson's Beach Rd (mostly across the road from the SW corner of the first horse pasture).
Enjoy!
