All the osprey nests which were occupied this year around here that I keep an eye on have been empty for at least 2 weeks, except for one.  There is one individual still hanging around the nest, either on it or perched on the post next to it.  Is this unusual for this time of year?  The nest definitely had at least one young this year.

There is still at least one osprey hanging around or on the nest in Portland Harbor on the Portland Pipe Line pier (So Portland side of the harbor) - there were three near it as late as three days ago. Marie

We saw some osprey earlier in the week as well here in Biddeford. I’m sure some leave a little earlier than others but I don’t think it’s odd yet for them to still be hanging around.

We have at least two osprey (heard one this a.m.) still on the St. George River in Cushing, which I'd guess is tied to abundant fish still running here -- there's usually a very healthy osprey population, so it has definitely slowed down. (Side note: Our family of eagles are still here as of yesterday.)

I’ve been watching the nest near Ocean Gateway in Portland all summer, one chick. Last night all three were still around although no one was on the nest.
