Hi all,
With birding limited to dog walks and local patches within 15 minutes of home, the hawkwatch, and occassional stops while out delivering seed, my highlights this week were limited to:
- 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, Bradbury Mountain Hawkwatch. My long-overdue 138th Patch Bird for here!
- 1 Rusty Blackbird, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 4/7.
- very cool, very large, mass reverse-migration of American Robins through the area throughout the day on 4/10.
But my personal FOYs included the following:
- 4 Tree Swallows (first migrants of spring), Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 4/5.
- 1 Osprey, Florida Lake Park, 4/5.
- 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Elmwood Road, Pownal, 4/6 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Pine Warbler, Knight's Pond, Cumberland, 4/6 (with Jeannette).
- 5 Swamp Sparrow (first migrants of spring), Florida Lake Park, 4/7.
- 12 "Yellow" Palm Warblers, Florida Lake Park, 4/7.
- 1 Pied-billed Grebe, Florida Lake Park, 4/7.
- 2 Chipping Sparrows, feeders here at the store, 4/8.
- 1 Barn Swallow, Florida Lake Park, 4/9.
- 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Florida Lake Park, 4/9.
- 1 Snowy Egret, Back Cove, Portland, 4/10.
