Don Reimer spotted a BARNACLE GOOSE amid a flock of Canada Geese on the athletic fields of South School in Rockland this morning. Still here now at 10:20 a.m. visible from the bleachers.

Just thought I'd reach out and say that if anybody is chasing this bird and will be passing through Brunswick/Topsham, if I could hitch a ride up to Rockland with anyone who's comfortable that would be great!
Thought it might be worth asking. (you know, just in case!)

The entire goose flock, including the Barnacle, lifted off at 11:57, flying east. We checked Snow Marine Park and they were not present.

Hi,

If the usual conditions prevail at this particular site, the geese will likely reappear, perhaps later this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

No geese at the airport but a few in the cove near the Owls Head Jewish Cemetery, noted while driving, though access/visibility is difficult. 75 Canadas at the Samoset, plus 10 American Wigeon and an American Coot. No Barnacle. Hopefully they will cycle back over to the elementary school, like Don said.
