Hi Maine birders,

I am posting to let everyone know about a great free app to help you learn shorebirds. The New England Shorebird Guide is a photographic guide freely available on the Bird Observer site. It now covers 37 species of shorebirds that occur in New England, northeastern United States and eastern Canada. It's designed primarily as a visual aid on your smart phone that can be used in the field, but it can also be installed on a tablet or computer. My friend Soheil Zendeh was the lead on its production and asked me to spread the news to Maine birders. It is a great resource!
