There is a swarm of bees on an outside wall of a barn, about 2' up from the ground, and about 2' in diameter.  Josh thinks he sees them going into a hole in the siding.  Josh will be here until 4 pm today (Tuesday, June 17).

The bees are at
6140 Portage Rd
DeForest, WI 53532

If interested, contact
Josh Eastmead

Let the club know if you go, so he isn't inundated with calls!

I called and they said they are living in the wall of the barn and made it sound like it would be a cutout. They just bought the property.

OK.  The next person to call should  ASK if the bees are still on the outside wall, or not.  It sounded to me like they were still outside.

OK, I couldn't stand it, and called Josh again myself.  He first noticed the bees about 1:00.  Now, at 2:30, the swarm is still sitting on the outside of the barn, still a cluster about 2' in diameter.

Let some beekeeper go and see what can be done!

Definitely not a swarm. It’s possible that it swarmed or was simply bearding. It’s going to be a large cut out job. I’ll reach out to club members to see if anyone is willing to help or learn more about doing cut outs.
