Dear Group,

Please see the thread below, about a swarm of honey bees at the Windsor Kwik trip.  I just phoned, and yes, they are still there, on a diesel pump.

Is there anyone who would go and collect the bees?  They are at
6325 Pepsi Way
Let us know, if you go!

Hi Jean,

I got your information from Drew Kaiser. See email below.

I work for Kwik Trip and manage pest control for all of our locations. We have a swarm of honey bees at our store in Windsor, WI

The address is 6325 Pepsi Way. Would someone in your association be able to help us out by removing the swarm?

Let me know if you need any more information. The store would be best for details, their phone number is 608-846-9888.

Thanks so much!

Good afternoon Jamie!

I had been in contact with Mike at Orkin about the BRF store on Hwy 54 and do believe there was a member of the local club who was able to go out there on Wednesday and try to trap them. I hadn’t heard any updates since then so I’m not sure if they were unsuccessful or if this is a new swarm. I know that the photo provided by orkin showed them on the canopy and one member of our group though it could actually be bees that were orphaned by a trailer leaving the cranberry bogs and not actually a true swarm. In other words, if it’s a queen less cluster it won’t make it very long up there.  But if they’re still there I can help to try  arrange something.

I do think Windsor is a bit too far for us to grab a swarm but there is a thriving beekeeper community in Madison that may be able to help.  Looks like they’re @Madbeeks on Facebook or mad bees.org

Let us know if this helps!

Good Afternoon,

My name is Jamie Visger. I work at the Kwik Trip Headquarters in La Crosse, Wi and manage our pest control at all locations. Tim Kramer with Orkin gave me your contact information. We have two stores that have honey bees. One store is in Black River Falls, WI and one in Windsor, WI. He told me you are all based out of the Eau Claire, WI area so I didn’t know if Windsor, WI would be too far.

Would anyone be able to help with taking care of the bees at either of these locations?

If you could email me back we can chat about the process.

Thanks all!
