How do I read extruder temperature in python?

I see that MachineKit supports setting extruder temperatures through remap.ini M Codes but I don't see any commands to get temperature values from the machine.

Working with the `linuxcnc` python module how do I read extruder/bed/enclosure sensor temperatures from the machine?
