screw extrusion

Hi,

We are recently working on a 3d printer with a screw extruder.

I will need to control the speed of a stepper moving the screw, and I think that the slicer will make the gcode thinking of a thread extruder. (am I wrong on this?)

I have heard of some module in machinekit, that can do something like that, but I don't remember where to find them or how are they called... can anyone remind me?

In the Arcus-3dM2 there is a screw extruder, is its configuration available?
