Macaulay2 1.26.05 released

Dear Macaulay2 user,

We are happy to announce the release of Macaulay2, version 1.26.05.  For the list of changes, see https://macaulay2.com/doc/Macaulay2/share/doc/Macaulay2/Macaulay2Doc/html/_changes_cm_sp1.26.05.html.  In particular, note that "Complexes" is now the default homological algebra package.

For instructions on installing Macaulay2 or building it from source, please see the wiki at https://github.com/Macaulay2/M2/wiki.

We will have another release shortly, version 1.26.06 on June 10.  This release will feature some of the updates from the "Future of Macaulay2" workshop this month at Georgia Tech.  If you plan to contribute to this release, then please submit a pull request by June 3.

We are grateful to all the contributors who keep expanding the scope and performance of Macaulay2 via new packages and improvements to the existing code.  You are welcome to submit pull requests at https://github.com/Macaulay2/M2/pulls/.

I'm trying to install the new version.  Here's the error I got with the instructions for MacOS on the wiki: Help!

I think some of brew's local metadata might be out of date.  Try "brew update" before "brew install M2".
