Our friend Lisa Martin

MABRA family,
It is with unending shock and grief that we write to tell you that on Wednesday, October 8, our president and north star of Route 1 Velo, Lisa Martin, was killed by a driver in a hit and run incident while she was riding her bike on her home roads of the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center.
Services will be held next Saturday, October 18. Please join us starting at 10AM for visitation and services at the Boston St. Fort Funeral Home on 5801 Cleveland Avenue in Riverdale, MD, just over the DC border in Lisa’s hometown. All are invited to gather with us to celebrate her life and share memories of our dear friend.
Lisa was more than a teammate: she was a friend and guide for our adventures on two wheels and through life. All who rode with her felt her guidance. She wanted us to be at our best and to help others to be at their best.
