A celebration of bike racing history in the Baltimore area and recognizing our club champions.
This year we have a Wall of Fame display photo's ( B &W) Mid -Atlantic action photo's taken during the late 40's , 50's and 60's.
Be amazed at the equipment and clothing for racing.
All the bikes used for road races from that period where fixed gear ( one gear) and no brakes were the norm.
Plenty of Art & Jimmy Lauf photo's. These brothers dominated local racing.
Art was a 3 time BAR Champ.
Jimmy went on to win the 1948 ABL of A Nationals, member of the 1952 Olympic Cycling team and was the first American to win a stage in the Tour of Mexico.
