Hi, I am Vysakh, a post graduation student. As a part of my final year thesis I am trying to simulate the plasma forms in an EDM using deionized water as dielectric in COMSOL. How can i get cross sectional data for deionized water from Lxcat? What are the basic steps that I can follow in plasma simulation as a beginner? Kindly reply me and help me.

Dear Vysakh
Hi
In order to obtain the cross section for deionized  water you can use the following steps:
go to lxcat.net then select "scattering cross section", select the data base you want to use (its optional you can use all of them simply by clicking next), afterwards select "e (electron)" as grounded state then click next, then select "H2O" as ground state and click  next, select the reactions you want to involve in your simulations ie. effective, elastic, ionization, etc.
also to begin with COMSOL's plasma module i recommend you to start with its own manuals:
1-IntroductionToPlasmaModule
2-PlasmaApplicationLibraryManual
3-PlasmaModuleUsersGuide
which are available in the folder you have installed the COMSOL in doc=>pdf=> plasma module.
if there is any question please do not hesitate to ask me.
Best Regards.

Thank you very much for your support sir. When I run the simulation in comsol, I end up with an error shown below.

"Interpolation grid axis values must be sorted in ascending order in each dimension. "

Can you please help me to figure it out?
Looking forward to hear from you sir.
