Dear Colleagues!

I am new to field, grad student. I want to simulate hydrogen plasma in flow channel tube using comsol for some part of my project. I have downloaded phelp database for effective, excitation and ionization but during importing file it is constantly giving me error of format. how to resolve? Your help will be appreciated.

thank you
best regards,

Dear Sehrish,

could you be more specific about the error messages and what you did before getting the error message? If you try to use directly the downloaded format into Comsol (I guess from the title of your message), I expect indeed that it will not work. Comsol requires a specific format of the data file for the cross sections which is not the one of LXCat (as far as I know).

Kind regards,
Emile

Dear  Emile,

Thank you for your kind response. Hope this e-mail finds you in the best of your health.
I tried to prepare .TxT file according to the format of COMSOL, for initial case i picked up few reactions only, I successfully able to upload the data but now after only few iteration it shows an error of: "Last time step is not converged"

P.S: I didn't use the new symbols for excitation and ionization processes, i just mention type of reaction in the properties window. Kindly find the attached file for .TXT

Thank you,
Kind regards,
sehrish

Dear Sehrish

Please check the paper

Determination of electron collision of cross-section set for the H2 molecule for plasma discharge simulation

This is the best complete x-section set fits the experimental data
