Hi, Makers!
I have an urgent question on painting plastic. I have 2 vintage Parker Vector pens, and they have plastic on the outside. I will be coming into some more and I want to paint them. What kind of medium should I use? And do I need to prime the plastic first?
I thought of nail polish, first, buy I'm not sure how long it would last. Then I thought of model paint like Testors.
Anybody with experience or an idea?
Thanks.
Yours truly
Ginny
The finish on them is quite slick. To get any paints to stick, you will need to lightly sand them
After that, any of the better plastic paints would be OK
Although, we aware that any paint products on the barrel of a pen, coming into contact with finger oils, girt, hand lotion, etc will tend to not be a good thing.
