A quick thank you to all the volunteers and "show runners" who made yesterday at Snow Ranch happen. 

It was our first time at Snow Ranch and the first time my son, age 12, launched rockets like these (yesterday he launched a Mongoose, a Lil Nuke and a Goblin). He has been working on these since last fall with a student mentor at Stanford and it has been such an incredible learning experience and opportunity for growth disguised as fun. 

He is neurodivergent so has a hard time connecting with people and it was very affirming for him to be around so many people who share his passion. Plus, he had a real blast watching all the other rockets!

Thank you again. Hope to continue to be able to participate in this group and hopefully get good enough to someday volunteer and support other future rocketeers.

LUNAR is a great club with great people. While I'm now 600+ miles away, your post made me feel at home again! 

I'm glad your son connected so well, but it's not really that surprising to me. Everyone there >absolutely< shares that passion and are always willing to share and help out.

You are most welcome, and I’m grateful we are making a welcoming and accommodating place to fly rockets!

We are happy you and your son had a great day enjoying our hobby with us. We all like to talk about, help out and answer questions about rockets.

There are several members who started out as kids flying rockets and are now parents sharing the hobby with the next generation.

Aw, thank you for saying that. It will mean a lot to him. Fwiw he picked out the colors and did all the spray painting himself (with a responsible parental figure observing of course) so he will be thrilled to hear that experienced rocketeers gave him the thumbs up 😁

And his successful launches were definitely in large part due to the guidance of his exceptional mentor 🙌
