Jean Moniatte was asking in discourse

"Was anyone able to sponsor using the current form? My card was declined (it should not), just want to make sure that the issue is not with the setup."

The form comes directly from stripe, it is only embedded on our website.
so setup should not be a issue, you could try to do it in a not inlined form:

Thanks for your support
Micha

Thanks for getting back to me. I re-tried and my card was declined again. I will use the Paypal donation until I figure out what the issue is with my card.

Thanks,
Jean

Micha,

If it turns out there is a hangup on the side of payment processor, you might want to look into Braintree for accepting credit card payments.

The application process is easy and quick. Rates are competitive, 2,9% + Fr ,40 per transaction. They accept applications from companies worldwide (certainly from CH), are owned by PayPal, and they charge no fees for the first CHF 50,000 of sales volume.

I was able to become a supporter using a credit card last week.

I have been contemplating registering as an individual supporter, but one small quibble has held me back.  The form requires you to fill in the company name.  Since I would be registering myself personally, and not as a representative of my employer (a public agency), I don't want to fill this box in.  Maybe it would be more appropriate to make that field required only if you are registering as a Corporate or Enterprise supporter?

Why not just put "Individual"?

Yeah, I guess that works.  I just didn't know if the Company Name was used elsewhere for anything.  I had also considered just putting my name in there too.  I mainly wanted some kind of feedback from the Lucee bods about this, and now I have. :-) [gets out wallet]

First of all thanks for your support!
And everybody else that is supporting us!
"Company" is now suppressed when you choose individual.

I had the same indecision, and reported the same at the time.

I could put *all manner of things* instead of a company name... or someone could just fix the form to be inviting for individuals.

I tried to do it, but it's not part of the Lucee website, so outwith my control.
