Updating Java Engine behind Lucee

Ok, I hope nobody hates me for opening a new thread, but this is a new question:

How do I upgrade the Java-Engine behind Lucee?

The last stable Version of Lucee (4.5) comes with a 1.7.xx-Version which seems to be too old for my needs. Is there a HowTo that works?

From my experience on OSX, I assume you'd need to set the default jvm to point to the new jdk installation. If no one else answers, I'd suggest googling for 

set default jvm windows

it's actually very simple:

1) download the Server JRE and extract to a local folder

2) open the Tomcat configuration applet (might be called Lucee config or something similar if you used the installer) and set the path to the bin/server/jvm.dll on the Java tab, e.g.:



3) restart Tomcat
