Dear all,

I am calibrating the KCC material model for steel fiber reinforced concrete modeling through simple experimental tests. However, I am having trouble identifying the "modified" effective plastic strain (λ) from HistoryVar#6.

I am entering a new damage evolution curve (η - λ) into the material model, and at the end of the analysis I am checking the curve by multiplying HistoryVar#5 and HistoryVar#6 (slope and λ). But it is different from the inputted one.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Respectfully,

Hello Yonca –

1\ I do not understand how multiplying the slope of a curve by it abscissa value provides the ordinate value? [Unless the slope is constant (straight line) and the intercept is zero].

2\ Knowing the definition of Lambda_m in the NOUT=2 parameter allows you to solve for Lambda. That should be the same as History Variable #6.

Lambda_m is defined as the value of Lambda when Eta=1.

I think your request to be able to verify the Eta-Lambda relation in post processing is reasonable and should be directed to support at your license provider.
