Hello,

I want to determine the viscoelastic properties of a polymeric foam, such as storage and loss modulus. Could you please suggest to me which of the following models can be helpful?

*MAT_VISCOELASTIC (*MAT_6)

*MAT_GENERAL_VISCOELASTIC (*MAT_76
 - Can be used for rate-dependent, rubber-like materials (Feng)

*MAT_SOFT_TISSUE_VISCO (*MAT_91)
 - Ligaments, tendons, fascia
 - Mooney-Rivlin matrix reinforced by fibers

*MAT_QUASILINEAR_VISCOELASTIC (*MAT_176)
 - Biological soft tissues such as brain, skin, kidney, spleen, etc. (Feng)

*MAT_VISCOELASTIC_HILL_FOAM (*MAT_178)
 - Highly compressible, rubber-like materials (Feng, Hallquist)

*MAT_RATE_SENSITIVE_COMPOSITE_FABRIC (*MAT_158)

Thanks.

Dear Jameel,

See if the following are of some help:

A paper which offers comments on selecting a foam material model for simulation (with Poisson's ratio comments):
