v17 app - not good.

Feels like lower contrast between switch/button elements and their tile, and between the tiles and background.  Big loss in clarity as a result .  Eg if you can't see the  box that a switch sits in you can't easily judge whether it's on or off (colour helps but the yellow isn't *that* distinct from white in daylight and you lose that if you have 'plain design' enabled).  It used to be background/tile/button getting lighter - now the button is just background (see photo of iPhone screen).

I don't think the lack of contrast is helped by the bright green top bar - I think that's making it harder for my eyes to see the contrast between the elements below that are dark grey on black.

The Android tablet app has a 'floating' nav bar on my Galaxy tab 9.  Again, lack of contrast means really tough to see and  clashes with the tablets own nav when bring that on screen.

Labels gone from the bottom nav icons on iPhone - does a rounded square say category clearly?  I don't think so.  nor squares with square 'room'.

light switch behaviour has changed - turning a switch to 'on' means my lights don't work the same in the app as on the wall (+ mood used) and some of the moods the switch enables aren't even in my mood rotation using the wall switch.

This feels to me like too much design in a studio on big monitors with perfect lighting, and not enough real world on device testing.

I think the latest app is awful and an eyesore. The green is even the wrong colour compared to previous loxone green.

I too cannot see if switches are on or off. I need to click them to know.

Would hope Loxone adds new features to the app that would be a benefit, like landscape mode on my iPhone just like on the iPad.

I tried to downgrade but the App Store does not have this option.

I agree, feels like designed for a "look" and not functionality. It is honestly just relentless similar looking widgets and buttons.

Other issues I seem to  be having.

1) My alarms haven't gone off the last few days (I'd not yet updated to v17 mini server firmware so shouldn't be related, but had never happened before).  They open some blinds and turn on the coffee machine.  Have installed v17 to the MS now, will see what happens.

2) I run config on windows via Mac bootcamp on a 13" Mac.  The toolbar is now ludicrously oversized  and doesn't seem any way to hide it (I'm sure there was before).  It's about 20% of the usable screen.

3) I've also used Config on via Whisky on my Mac silicon iMac.  V17 install won't run and fails with a blank window and a useless error message

Hi,

I actually refused to upgrade my phone to v16 because I didn't like the look, but while it doesn't seem a popular point of view, v17 actually seems better than v16 to me to have taken that update.

I agree the new shade of green is not as nice but they are having a re-brand... it happens. Oh well.
