Hi Jan,
So this depends on your batteries, if they are connected to a GX Multiplus and they are bus connected then yes, you can use ModBus over IP, you will need the GX version or a standard version and a GX device.
You also need to ensure you isolate the grid in a G98 (up to 16A) G99 (over 16A) approved method.
Having Loxone on the batteries is a good idea too, the most often overlooked part of a control system is what it does in a power failure! make sure your network is backed up too.
Thanks
Martyn
Hi Martyn,
I am checking if Loxone + Multiplus can indeed help me with controlling a battery pack. What I see on the offerings online looks to me too much, as I have already most in my loxone install (metering of grid and of my 2 solaredge solar transformers) Also, I have a 3-phase system, but don't need the full power of those phases, so a battery on 1 phase should be ok, as long as I can control the battery in both directions via loxone. I would also be interested to put my loxone on the battery which I can then use as backup system.
hope this clarifies,
Best regards,Jan
Hi Jan.
We have fair bit of experience with Victron & Loxone, What is it you want to know? I don't read dutch but I can see from the pictures they are showing a MultiPlus, presumably being used with Batteries & Solar and maybe an off grid integration too?
The offering from the two companies combined is very compelling, especially the ESS side and of grid whilst remaining in solar production.
Thanks
Martyn
