There's an interesting interdisciplinary collaboration developing on the application of Platonic forms.  Michael Levin is a sort of leader in this space (pun intended) with his emphasis on how we discover, rather than create, mathematical constants of nature that our physics cannot change. I'm fond of quoting Gilson that mathematicians and physicists tend to be Platonists whereas biologists and physicians understand the messiness of our world, but Levin appears to have recruited at least some biologists to this idea.

I grew up in Richmond, Va. I remember the school there named after Maggie L. Walker, a black woman pioneer and banker. Here is link to her bio which illustrates her pioneering, courageous efforts to  lead her people wo new frontiers of emmpowerment after the Civil War:
