The laser cutter table has cross struts/solid shelf under it and is lower than a work bench from what I recall, (am I wrong) it is also partially blocked by the environmental oven, It a very awkward spot, @Adrian, Interesting that I was told that they were waiting for you to remove it. They aren't easy to dispose of, if we are insistent that my project should go in that corner and I need to get rid of it I am sure I can make a plan, the last one I disposed of I chopped up.
Under the electronics benches has more than enough real estate in terms of depth, width, and height. Also it will live under an electronics bench ultimately. The LHS electronics bench/the benches have a wide variety of stuff stored under them, including stackable storage crates that are stackable, some of which are not stacked. I am at a loss as to why that's not sensible,
Something that is made up of metal components will have elements that are smaller that should be worked at times in the metal shop I don't get why that isn’t sensible either. For clarity, "the base will be similar to a 19-inch rack square" for those of you that don't do inches or don’t work in the electrical or IT domain, that's just under 50cm square, (the current foot print _ I am rebuilding and reconfiguring a power supply) for contrast, a standard pallet is about 120 cm * 100cm so my project has a foot print of roughly a of the size quarter of the size of a pallet. A pallet space is the space taken up obsolete and unused environmental oven.
I wonder why I am beginning to feel like Alexei Navalny.

I spoke to Adrian, who said if we wanted to dump he would like to recover it but did not have suitable transport at the time, when he did have suitable transport, the move was imminent, and he said he would deal with it then, which at the time was sensible. When the move happened I wasn’t around. I trust we won't have the usual bout of selective amnesia
