Induction & access card activation

Hi I’m an old member that’s rejoined & apparently I have to do an orientation to get my access card authorised for access. Will there be an orientation on Wednesday pm on 1st October or at any other time in the near future? Thanks

Yes, unless something untoward happens there will be one on Wednesday.

Please try to be there for 7pm, there is no need to pre register, but if you are going to be a little late due to traffic or trains then let me know on here or on Discord.

Hi Jon,

I have recently joined and I do not have an access card. I will also be there on Wednesday around 7 PM. I will carry my oyster card which I use for my public transport, hope that will be fine to activate my access to the London Hackspace premises?

Hi Vinay,

Your oyster card will work fine.

For the sake of clarity: As I wrote in my previous email, please arrive by 7 pm, or let me know if you are unavoidably delayed. It's not just a case of turning up at some point in the evening and getting your card authorized. The induction exists for a reason, there is a lot to cover with regards to access, rules, health and safety, etc, and I have no desire to have to cover any of it twice in one evening because somebody turned up late.
