Is someone ever used waves clarity vx DeReverb with Logic Pro and how It’s accessible for us?

I've used Waves plug ins, specifically, pitch shifter, deBreath and their noise limiter.  I've heard that not all of their plug ins are accessible, however.  I'd give Steve Martin or Waves customer service a call to learn more.

Good luck

Bruce

I played with it until I learned to look for the balance between removing enough breath without removing too much everything else.  So, as soon as I notice i'm cutting out sound I want to keep, I back off until I'm not and llearn to live with whatever breath is left, which usually isn't much.  I've also worked at keeping my inhales as inconspicuous as possible while recording, which helps quite a bit.

Last, miking makes a huge difference.  Close in miking is pretty neat but gives a lot of breath.  Backing off really helps reduce the breath sound, so if all else fails, when recording give a distance of 2, 4 or even 6 feet between mic and source, depending.

Hope this helps.

I believe the VX plug ins are accessible. At least sync and clarity are as far as I know.

I still prefer to edit breaths manually. As bruce said, it’s a trade off with how much you can remove when you do it  with a plug in. Though manually may still have some trade offs with instruments like flutes and etc , not an area I have a lot of experience in. With vocals however you get greater control doing it manually. It does take time but can go quickly enough with practice.

Is someone used the Waves harmony plug-in in midi mode?

Personally I don’t think Waves Harmony sounds Natrual and realistic. It’s great if you are doing modern. Pop, hip hop or RnB where it’s a super processed vocal sound. But if you are looking for something more Natrual sounding Antares Harmony Engine, or Air Music Technology’s Vocal Harmony are much more on the Natrual side in my opinion. Harmony Engine can be used in MIDI mode as well, not sure about Vocal Harmony though.
To answer your question I Imagine using Waves Harmony is pretty similar to most  other plug ins  when used in that mode. Load it on a software instrument track and side chain it to the vocal track . In the plug in set the input to MIDI  For Waves Tune RealTime I think you have to do this withVOCR but not sure if the MIDI option shows up in controls view in Waves Harmony. If not it will be a similar process to waves tune real time most likely.

I had Antares harmony engine before but It’s part of a bundle (avox)
So I have problems to reinstall it properly because the bundle is no more available. All the plug-ins in the bundle are ok except the harmony engine and the Micmod. I quit on service from Antares.

I have an installer for the older version of Avox and Harmony Engine that I just use to re-install them  So long as you still have the license in your iLok account they will still work in my experience.

What is the difference for the gtr  amp from Waves and the recent gtr 3? There was also a gtr 3cab plug-in. Is the gtr 3 is accessible?
