Hey Bruce,
I am glad you were finally able to watch the tutorial that started all of this. However, as I have asked you privately a number of times now, to be respectful and cordial in our communications as I have tried to be and felt I have been. Perhaps its the disrespectful messages you been sending me for the last few days, why in my perspective your last message to the logic accessibility list, (the one I am responding to here), reads like you appreciate that I finally got over my bout of incompetency and finally managed to do something as simple as send you a link.
This all started when you asked me about a tutorial with something to do with AUX and sends, in which I explained that the getting started course available when you subscribe to the newsletter has a tutorial on Auxs, Sends etc that explains what they are and how they work. When you reached out to me, regarding this, I explained that the sends tutorial was exclusive to the download version of the course, was not available on YouTube and in the Getting started playlist on YouTube.
I went on to explained that since you are already subscribed and receiving my newsletter, there was a link in the footer of every email a subscriber gets to download the course. I continued to explain that in the footer you should find the following:
“If you haven’t yet grab Logic-Magician or the Getting Started With Logic Course!”
Yes I may have mistakenly said that it was below the subscribe link when it was above it. But I hoped that giving you the line to look out for would help. However this did not seem to help as you sent multiple emails including here on the list with the subscribe link stating that it didn’t start a download. You stated in an email to me that you found the “If you haven’t yet grab Logic-Magician or the Getting Started With Logic Course!” Section of the footer but it was unclear what to click to get the course. You also went on to say in one of the more nastier and disrespectful emails how you couldn’t possibly b the only one having this much difficulty downloading this. Personally I am not aware of another person who had this much difficulty downloading the course. If they have, they have not reached out to me. I also don’t understand where the lack of clarity lies regarding what to click to start the download. Navigate with Voiceover to the Getting started With Logic Course in the footer and VO Space on it to start the download.
When you did eventually get the download you stated that you did not find a tutorial on Sends. I replied explaining it’s LS 24 Aux And Busses. You stated you only had up to LS 18. However due to the scheduled Member’s Q&A yesterday, I was preoccupied at that time and you continued to send me emails demanding a link that works and then a link to the Getting Started playlist on YouTube again saying how there is no tutorial on sends in that Getting started playlist, among other condescending and downright rude comments.
Its interesting how one of the things you accused me of during these exchanges is not paying attention to you and your responses and how I kept sending you links and instructions that you already followed and didn’t work. However, somehow despite my explaining multiple times that the Sends tutorial was only in the downloaded version of the course, That the Getting Started Playlist on the YouTube channel is what the downloaded course is based on but the downloaded course has been updated more recently than the tutorials in that particular Youtube playlist, you still with increasing nastiness sent me emails stating there was no sends tutorial and demanding I send you a link.
This morning I saw these emails you sent to me privately along with the ones in this thread on the mailing list.I wrote you a long email that I wasn’t blowing you off, I was occupied with the Q&A yesterday and asked that we be respectful in our communications. After explaining that if you only had 18 lessons in your download that your file was incomplete and theorizing how that could have happened, I sent you the full course directly as an email attachment. Your response was stating how we both were to blame in the ill communication, a reminder of kind words and support you have shared over the years and how I still have not sent you a direct link to the sends tutorial. I once again explained there is no direct link to send you as it’s not on YouTube or else where but I went ahead and unzipped the course and sent you the sends tutorial as an attachment. You then responded not to that email, but to the logic access email list about how I finally managed to send you a link .
In one of the emails to the list you mentioned how you encouraged me to start LogicBand. Yes, you are one of my earliest supporters, being one of the first to book one on one lessons with me, well before there was a Youtube channel or blog. You have always supported me by becoming a member and stocking up on one on one lesson hours whenever they were on sale in addition to the times you did when they weren’t on sale. I genuinely appreciate all the support you have shown to me over the years. However, all that support does not entitle you to be disrespectful, condescending and outright rude to me period. Least of all when it has a lot to do with your own frustration and lack of understanding of how things work. You say you encouraged me to start this venture. But what you fail to realize is you could also be one of the reason this comes to an end. Because while LogicBand is monetized, it’s mostly self sufficient enough to cover it’s own expenses, it’s ’a passion project and a labor of love. I certainly don’t make enough to be treated the way you have been treating me for the last few days. Situations like these truly start to erode the passion for doing this. Once again I ask for civility in our communications, even when frustrated. Also while I can appreciate that we all make mistakes, one should also be able to own up to them and apologize.

Hey Steve,
I never had a problem downloading your Logicly speaking course. Even last night, I downloaded it again just to see if anything had changed, and as soon as I clicked the link, it started downloading. It was as simple as that, and the instructions were very clear.
I’m writing this email to let you know how much I appreciate everything you do. I’m a vocalist and pianist, and I started at Berklee as a freshmen this year. I knew I had to switch from Reaper eventually, so your courses helped a lot. If you didn’t exist, it would have been way more challenging.
Aside from that, Magician saves us countless hours every week, and I know you were very involved in its development process with Lake as well. I genuinely couldn’t understand what the problem was with the course download link, and the language Bruce has been using feels very odd, especially since you’re not even obligated to share something that can be publicly found online, and it’s a tutorial you spent hours creating, editing, and presenting.
Long story short, I just wanted to send an email to let you know how helpful your content has been. Thank you!
