Hi guys. Quick question here:
I haven't been using Logic long, but I thought I'd check into getting Logic Magician soon. I hear that it's quite good.
But I can't seem to find it anywhere?
Firstly, when I type in
logic.band
it brings up another website, something about the blind logic pro...
When I VO space on downloading Logic magician from that page, it says "page does not exist".
Why can't I access the normal
logic.band
page or am I going crazy?
It all began with wanting to reference the key commands list since navigating by 16th note isn't working on my computer.
I'm talking about the control - option - command comma and period command.

Would appreciate any help.

Dewald

Hi

You’re not crazy, it just happenned that you tried to access the page while some changes are being done to the website.
It will be resolved soon, Steve will let you know when website is back to normal, maybe even today.
If not, one of us will send you temporary download link for LM. I’d do it even now, but I’m not home and don’t have my macbook near by.
LM documentation page should be visible regardless, so in the meantime you can read through it, just to get the idea of how it all works, or check logic magician youtube playlist at following link:

Cheers

Thanks. I funnily enough had that impression while looking through the website.

You aren’t going crazy, LogicBand is now TheBlindLogicPro. Link should be working now. Report back if it isn’t.

Ok cool. Tell me, if I don't want to do Logic Magician now, is it still fine? I mean ... Would it be better for me, being a beginner to first learn all the key commands or just begin learning with Logic Magician?
I've learned a lot of key commands already, and coming from Reaper, it's kind of years and years of learning Reaper, and I just want to get into music making ASAP.

Thanks

I’ve been producing for quite a while and I’d say learn Logic Magician as your road to learning Logic. I produced without Logic Magician since 2018 using Logic Pro, and the instant feedback you get with Logic Magician is going to save you having to interact and uninteract all over the place. TL /DR: Logic Magician lets you keep on recording, keep on producing, etc., and stay in your workflows rather than jumping all over to check things.

I wish I knew about it 4 years ago when I was doing a bunch of short orchestrations / ostinatos etc for a contract who was posting to tiktok: orchestration requires just tons of tracks for every section, and Logic Magician would have at least halved the time I took doing the work. Many things I hear about from people, that frustrate them about Logic Pro, just don’t exist when you use Logic Magician. I’ve been using it only since the beginning of this month and already have turned around several projects quickly. Also everything on the Youtube channel etc works with and without Logic Magician, but with is way better. Something as simple as knowing at all times where the playhead is, I used to have to use Item Chooser or try and set one of those spots in VoiceOver. Logic Magician has one keystroke that does it no matter what you’re doing etc.

I’m really impressed with the product, TBH.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your reply. I'll check it out.
So by the way ... off topic ... I had a quick listen to your stuff on Youtube and sounds very interesting.

God bless

Thanks. It’s the music you hear in spas, hospitals, complementary care facilities etc. People often don’t know about us until they need us. Then, hopefully they’re comforted and calm, and if they forget about us after they’ve recovered or no longer burned out, that’s all par for the course. The biggest names in my field are totally unknown to your average A&R professionals, TBH. A young me who played a lot of prog would have found it boring, but a midlife mental health situation, a bit of a spiritual awakening as a Druid / Celtic Pagan, and a reinvention of how and what I do musically and professionally has found me where I am. The part that’s fun and mentally stimulating is the fusion of East and West, I’ve studied a great deal including with the late Ravi Shankar back in the early 90s, and all the new modalities that are intended to help balance mind and body. It’s quite a trip, you could never have told a younger me that I’d be doing this now.

And most don’t really know about us until they need us, then they rarely remember who it was.
Thank the Old Gods for the publishers and other entities that help keep things somewhat financially solvent.
If you ever have questions about how this style is made, you can PM me privately. I have yet to meet another blind person who produces this style specifically, not to say there isn’t one. But there are things we run into that aren’t as talked about in mainstream music forums.

Peace,

dave
