Hi all. Just started using Logic pro recently. I downloaded the 90-day trial version and installed the Ninja file as well.
I am running the latest Mac os version and the latest Rogic Pro.
I literally got my new Mac mini a few weeks ago.

So here is the question:
How come, on all the tutorials I've been listening to, when pressing return gto go to the beginning of the project, I hear Voiceover saying: "1 bar, 1 beat, 1 tick" etc. ^My voiceover only says "1 bar".

Hello and welcome.
The reason for this is that in a fairly recent update, logic reduced the amount of information that he speaks when you’re navigating the timeline. Trust me, what you’re hearing is a good thing. The tutorials that you’re listening to were recorded prior to the update. Voiceover no longer speaks the beats divisions and ticks if they are not necessary. I hope this helps.

Thanks Daniel. I really appreciate it. 
I thought it might have been due to an update. But I also just wanted to make sure I didn't break anything in the settings. 
I was trying to follow along the "getting started page" but I discovered that all the display settings are now all under the General tab under accessibility. 
Is it necessary to enable the "complete mode" under advanced settings? 
I am using Reaper but earlier this year on my previous Mac, I was just trying out Logic and I was surprised how easy Logic was to use. 
I'll give it a go for 90 days and record a couple of songs. 
I mostly record piano gospel songs. 
I have been using Band in a box on windows. Can I use Logic to make backtracks as well?

You should grab the updated getting started course from https://logic.band/ml. 
Yes you want to turn on all complete settings for best use of Logic with keyboard commands. 
Yes you can definitely use Logic to make backing tracks, though what you consider backing tracks and how you do it may be a different thing from how you used to use band in a box.

I guess I should grab the updated version of the course so I get accurate instructions.  I am already subscribed.  Don’t know how to download the more current version of what I presume is the Logically Speaking Course.  Where do I go if I’m already on the mailing list?

Thanks to Steve for sending me the updated course via email. 
When I subscribed tothis list, I also tried to join on the Whatsapp group, but I just saw the code of the Whatsapp plugin on the page. So would appreciate it if that could be fixed too. 
Coding is a pain sometimes. 🙄

Saved this older eMail to check out the link, when I had time.  I downloaded the Logic Magician installer, twice, & was told both times that the installer couldn’t be opened.  I did purchase & install Keyboardd Maestro first, if that matters.  Also, couldn’t find the “Getting Started” files on the site.  I’m in the process of re-engaging with Logic & thought I’d start from the beginning.

Any thoughts on why the installer won’t open?

It’s not signed so it won’t open without you first allowing it in system settings. The playlist of tutorials and the documentation in ePub are linked at the end of the post after the steps that talk about downloading and installing it. It covers the installation process in details.

In Logic, press command comma to get into settings. Interact with the toolbar at the top of the window and select advanced. Stop interacting with the toolbar and you want to enable all advanced settings or all complete settings etc, whatever the wording is in there.

Found that info, after emailing.  Sorry for that!  But, after following the steps, still won’t open in Taho.  I even turned off the gate Keeper with a Terminal command—followed by selecting “from anywhere” in settings, which becomes a choice under Security after turning off the gatekeeper.  Got a feeling it’s something to do with Taho.

Any thoughts?

Actually, I’ve now realized I’m not getting the warning about malware verification.  I’m repeatedly getting a “LogicMagician Installer Application can’t be opened,” with an OK button.  If all else fails, can I, manually, install the 3 files?  I.E. Keyboard Macro, Logic template & Ninja files?  I’m, also, willing to get some 1-on-1 training from you.

I’ve been putzing around with this all weekend & I’m ready to escalate to the next level,

Sorry you are having issues. Sounds like I need to document this and update the documentation and instructions for OS2mac OS 26. I upgraded so Logic Magician was already installed and working before  and still works now without any issues so we probably need to find the path to authorization on Mac OS 26. I reach out off list to set something up. If  you  want to book some one on one lessons to get up to speed with Logic, that’ll be great and I look forward too working with you on that, but we’ll sort this out severally from lessons. As I said we need to see what’s going on so the documentation can be updated.
