Hi Richard

I use an app called MIDI Guitar. You can use the plugin supplied to convert from audio to MIDI.

Hi all. Maybe my question was not clear so in Logic Pro there is a function to convert an audio track to a midi track. Suppose that you have a bass track in audio there’s a way to create a midi track that contains the notes of the audio track. Thanks.

Hey Richard

There are two ways of doing that in Logic Pro, one for  monophonic melodic material, and second one for drums or percussive material.
As far as I'm aware, the first one, for melodic material isn’t accessible to us. It’s done through audio editor, you should turn the flex on there, change flex mode to pitch, then from edit menu, choose option which says something like convert flex data to midi regions.
We can see that edit menu in editor, but not the flex toggle.
For rhythmic or rather percussive material like drums or percussion, you can use the other method through replace or double drum track, I think it has key command, control + D. That pops up a dialog with self-explanatory controls so if that’s something you need, you can easily understand all of those controls.
Hope it helps.

Cheers
