Hi,
Thanks for the question regarding the upcoming deprecation/shutdown of Chrome Apps. We are working with various internal partners/teams to establish our migration strategy and hope to have more information to share with you all in the coming weeks/months.
Regarding the matter of Chrome Web Store not accepting new Chrome Apps starting in March, this will only affect new deployments (not existing ones). We are discussing how we can support new app deployments after this date, but don't yet have any information to share on that. I do believe that you will be able to continue deploying through external means (outside of the Chrome Web Store) per our early discussions with partner teams.
If you are planning to implement Grab and Go into your organization (and haven't yet), my recommendation is to get a Web Store entry in as soon as possible so that you are not affected by the March 2020 deadline for new applications being uploaded. You can upload a blank/empty app and hold the entry for providing future updates to your app.
Again, thank you for the question and we hope to share more info with our external community soon.
Best,
Mike Helfrich

Hi, I've just had an email from Google Developers saying that we won't be able to post new Chrome apps after March this year.
- Is it possible that there will be a release of GnG before March?
- Will GnG be changed so that we cease to use Chrome apps?
- Our current (Dev) version of GnG is very stable and in use with over 600 ChromeBooks, so my plan has always been to push out our "Prod" release when the next stable version of GnG is released ... is that a reasonable plan?
