Hi all,

Embercombe 4000 character max description for the mobilities section is below.

Thanks Betsy for sending through yours.

PLEASE send yours around asap, ideally before Friday - I'm at
Embercombe at the moment for Catalyst and would like to finish the
report before Edventure manic begins again?

I'll upload my report to Dropbox on Fri and you should be able to copy
most from it.

Much love from the combe!

Johannes

The meeting at Embercombe was the 3rd working session of the
partnership. The key activities included:

1. Sharing of Embercombe?s methedology, including

The twin trail of leadership ? deepening of the self ? inner
transformation, and stepping up to have greater effect in the world ?
collaborative action
Invitation to experience the extraordinary in the ordinary ? the
alchemy of the garden; meeting the elements - fire, wind, trees, rain,
the night
Reconnecting with nature
Gratitude, choice and imagination
The primacy of story as a transformative pathway

2. The working sessions included: Hopes and Fears about the partnership

Open Garden Technology & The Way of the Council (methods for
collaborative working) to exploret he emergent themes of the
partnership, including burnout and the common principles behind our
work: freedom/empowerment, including: renewing ancient practices and
wisdom; holistic; action oriented; that we are nature; story; process
oriented; peer to peer learning, intergenerational learning, learning
from elders.
We worked with the The formula of change R < (C x V x F) c :
Resistance less than Compassion (suffering, sensing, feeling the pain
in the world) x Vision (what walking toward/ create personal
vision/direction) x F (first steps/tools to create first steps) C
(potentised by the power of community (create community).
And we explored key questions to support us writing the handbook, including:
1) what are the passions that got you here?

2) what are your sources of inspiration?

3) what are your organisational schools of practice and personal practice?

4) What is hosting transformation and how do you do it?

We created a database of ?hosting transformation? related books,
theories, films and approaches.
We used the dragon dreaming process to prototype the final conference
- The changemaker festival (which we stilled called The Summer of
Change).
