The links we shared in the June 29, 2026 implementation meeting:
Frank, you tried to ask me something when I was leaving the meeting. I immediately rejoined but you had left too.

Never mind, ContrAlto only works on Windows, not on the Mac.

I reread the Contralto documentation and it can actually run on "any system capable of running version 8.0 or later of the Microsoft .NET Runtime". However, I get an error on Linux Mint.

There's a web version of Contralto that runs in the browser and comes with Bravo but it can't save to disk or exchange files.

In the end I managed to run Contralto on my Linux box.

I initially installed the Mono runtime but it was probably an old or incompatible version as Contralto aborted with an error at startup. So I installed the Microsoft .NET 10.0 runtime but Contralto complained it wasn't version 8.0, which it apparently has a pinned dependency on. I finally installed Microsoft .NET 10.0 and Contralto now runs fine.

Contralto may work on macOS with a similar setup.
