Openssl-1.1.1 on centos7

Hi 

I read some posts that openssl-1.1.1 wont be available for centos7. 

Can someone please verify and explain the reasoning why if you know.

Seems like I need to upgrade many Centos 7 to Centos8 now.

If the above is true i need it to motivate the upgrade.

That'd be a question for the CentOS developers.
