You're gonna be hard pressed to find a video editor that works well with Lubuntu and those specs. Most require 4GB or RAM or more just for SD videos. Lubuntu is made to be light weight, meaning simple tasks only: email, web browsing, learning Linux, etc. If you need to do video editing, I suggest upgrading your hardware and look for a more full-featured distro. But, you can always just try what's out there. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and it still didn't cost you anything but your time.

Thanks.

Only one way to tell, and that's to try.

Sorry, it got alot of typos.

Yeah,

Sirs/Madam,

What if I add another 2gb RAM with the existing setup. Then what are the compatibilities with respect to the already installed 2gb RAM. Like frequency and model, make.

Kindly help.

Abdullah

That's really a question for the developers of the software.

Sir, I presented my hypothesis wrongly.

My query is-

1. I'm adding 2 gb RAM,

2. If this will work in sync with the existing 2gb RAM and how upto what extent the performance could affect.

3. What all I need to be careful with respect to adding RAM. Like model make, frequency and similar specifications.

Thanks for your kind help.

Abdullah

When adding memory, it's important to stay in the specs of your laptop/motherboard's capabilities. Research the model number and make sure it can support additional RAM. You should be able to find the preferred frequency in your research. If you are able to just add another stick of RAM, it should be the specs as the existing stick. However, if you are simply replacing the existing stick with a new higher capacity stick, then it's simply just staying in the specs of your computer.
