Hello everyone,
A recent topic in our fortnightly discussions has been cadence and time slots. We currently meet fortnightly on Friday at 9am Pacific time - the calendar is on our homepage at www.linuxboot.org. This generally works out for participants in the US and to some extent Europe, but it is difficult for colleagues in APAC (India, China, Australia, etc) to join late Friday night.

To increase productivity and participation periodic sync meetings we've been discussing alternating timezones so that every other meeting is in an APAC-friendly timeslot. Our meetings are usually short with incremental progress since the project has been going on for a while. The Slack channel (http://slack.u-root.com/) has a lot of activity for those looking for consistently high engagement.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick reminder to fill out the survey for LinuxBoot sync meeting cadence: https://forms.gle/DR7mzvYu4qwbt6qP6

Here are the results so far:
Frequency: Every two weeks, alternating between timezones
Day of week: Tied between Thursday and Friday, although we may need to clarify since IST/CST are a day ahead of the US...
US/EMEA time: 9am Pacific / 4pm UTC
APAC/US time: Tied between 8:30am IST/11am CST/8pm PST and 9:00am IST/11am CST/8:30pm PST

We'll discuss the poll a bit in tomorrow's sync meeting, and figure out when to close it and begin the new cadence.

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since we've had the poll up (https://forms.gle/DR7mzvYu4qwbt6qP6), so I think we should make a final decision during this Friday's regularly scheduled meeting and close it out. If we make a change to the schedule then it will likely take effect in mid-July; July 3rd and 4th are holidays in the US so we may skip the meeting that week.

In summary:
- The majority want meetings every 2 weeks in alternating timezones
- For US / EMEA, Friday 9am Pacific / 4pm UTC is preferred.
- For APAC / US timezone, Friday morning in IST/CST (which is Thursday night in US Pacific time) is generally preferred. The wording of this question was confusing, so I've updated it to be more explicit. If you voted on this question, please check the poll to ensure your result is what you intended.

If you have further questions or input (especially those in APAC) please let us know!
