Afternoon,

I am trying to add circuitscape to my computer that way I can run the pinch point mapper and the rest of the steps. I have downloaded Julia and went through the steps to add circuitscape through Julia but I keep coming up with errors in Julia which is not allowing me to run pinchpoint. Is there something I am doing wrong and do I need to add it to ArcGIS as well?

Thanks

Hi Scottt,

In a meeting so need to be brief. Long story short is that it should be documented that you need to use the python version of Circuitscpe for pinchpoint mapper.  It is the previous version I beleive. If you can't find that ping us again.

John,

I guess I am confused on how to get the pinchpoint mapper to work. I have downloaded the data for the python version of Circuitscape but I am not seeing any kind of instructions onhow to install it in ArcMap and use it to help run pinchpoint mapper. The most up to date version says to use run it through julia but there were errors in julia not allowing it to process.

Hi Scott,

You'll need to uninstall the Julia version of circuitscape on your machine, then install version 4 in the default location.

Once installed, that is all you need to do.   Just run Pinchpoint mapper.

Linkage Mapper looks for cs_run.exe in one of the following directories:
\ProgramFiles\Circuitscape\
\ProgramFiles(x86)\Circuitscape\

I believe the latest version of Circuitscape version 4 is 4.0.6, and can be found  here

Please let me know if this does not work.

Thanks!

John
