Hi friends!

Currently trying to work through the Lab/Tutorial posted on the website to familiarize myself with program. When I go to run the "Build Network and Map Linkages" tool, I receive an error message "ERROR 000576: Script associated with this tool does not exist. Failed to execute (MapLinkages)."

Anyone know the solution? Thanks in advance!

Hi Samantha,

It looks to me like the problem could be that you have moved the relative location of the scripts folder with respect to the toolbox (.tbx).  If you need to move the toolbox around, it is best to move the folder that it is in (and that the scripts folder is in).  For best results, move the folder that is in as well, that way your demo results.mxd will show up all the results with styling, after you successfully run the demo.  Please let me know if that does not help.

Thanks!

John

Hi John,

Thanks for the quick response. Haven't moved any files, but I followed the pathnames to where the script file should be and there is no lm_master python file. Not sure if it was deleted, or if it wasn't installed in the first place; I'm using a school computer. Do you know where I can acquire the script file?

Thanks!

Sure!  If it is version 2.0 (most likely) it is at https://circuitscape.org/linkagemapper/ and hit the download button. (I encourage you to do everything from within the doenloaded folder structure while you are learning.) if version 2.1beta, then on github.

Was able to find the scripts within the software download from the website, but need admin access to install. Will contact my supervisor to do so.

Thank you for your help!
