Hello!!
My first question actually concerns Gnarly Landscape Utilities 019. I am using this toolset to create 1) a core area polygon GIS file, and 2) a resistance raster GIS file, for use with the Linkage Mapper Toolset.
Using “Gnarly Resistance and Habitat Calculator” I successfully created both the Habitat and Resistance maps and it saved these files in a gdb called “scratchGDBHABITAT1.gdb” and “scratchGDBRESISTANCE1.gdb”.
To continue in “Gnarly Core Mapper” these files need to be in a Raster Grid format (as is the case in the demo). So I dropped each file from their original gdb to ArcMap. I then exported each as a GRID file to new location files called “Habitat” and “Resistance” to be used with “Gnarly Core Mapper”. I then added these locations to my Core Mapper Parameters excel sheet. However, each time I run “Gnarly Core Mapper” I receive this error message –
****Geoprocessing error. Details follow.****
Geoprocessing error on **line 146** of Core_Mapper.py :
Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid.
ERROR 000860: Input raster: is not the type of Composite Geodataset, or does not exist.
Failed to execute (GetRasterProperties).
Am I saving the files wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Jon

D:\JonathanCole\CanadaMap1990\Habitat
D:\JonathanCole\CanadaMap1990\Resistance
D:\JonathanCole\CanadaMap1990\Outputs
and here are the file paths from the demo.... (I tried to make mine as similar as possible)
C:\Gnarly\CoreMapperDemo\habitat
C:\Gnarly\CoreMapperDemo\resistance
C:\Gnarly\output
As for my raster GRID files
they look like this (Habitat for example)...
Hello John,
It turns out that the problem was that my folder names were different from my file names - and the program didn’t seem to like that at all! lol. Once I corrected this - it worked perfectly. I have since gone on to perform a test run in Linkage Mapper on my study area using the core area and resistance layers created in Gnarly Resistance and Habitat Calculator and Gnarly Core Mapper - and that too seems to have worked perfectly as well.
Thank you very much for your help,
Jon
